Be aware of data scams

Every year, APA receives reports of unsolicited offers to sell APA’s membership or meeting attendee lists and offers to register you for an APA meeting (including hotel accommodations). Any such offers are unaffiliated with APA and may be fraudulent. Often the companies behind those offers try to obtain domain names similar to APA and design their sites to looks similar to APA to imply a connection. Registering for APA meetings through any website other than psychiatry.org carries potential risks, such as identity theft or booking a room that does not exist. We strongly encourage all attendees to register and make hotel arrangements only through the links provided on this website, which includes onPeak, APA’s official housing partner.

In 2024, APA has received multiple reports from registrants that they have been contacted by a person named Kate Ross with a (929) area code who is representing themself as being affiliated with APA. This is fraudulent. Kate Ross is not affiliated with APA. Please do not contact them if you have questions related to meeting registration or housing.
