Residents

The APA Annual Meeting in New York May 2-7th is going to be a fabulous experience.  We want to make it even better for residents and fellows attending next year.

In addition to a markedly-discounted registration fee, the APA has also worked discounted rates at three nearby hotels where residents are encouraged to reserve rooms.  Residents and fellows have also sought cheaper options at local hostels, and many local hostels offer the ability to rent dorm rooms in groups.

The preferred hotels for residents based on price and distance from Convention Center (CC) are as follows:

  • Candlewood Suites Times Square South (4 blocks from CC)
  • New Yorker Hotel (5 blocks from CC)
  • TRYP Times Square South (5 blocks from CC)

If you’re attending, make sure to join the Facebook Group for Residents and Fellows to see status updates and nightly social events around the city (for residents by residents).

Mind Games is scheduled for Tuesday, May 6th, 6pm to 7pm at the Marriott Marquis hotel.

The annual Chief Resident Leadership Conference for incoming psychiatry chief residents is scheduled for Monday, May 5.

The complete Resident Track is now available. Opens a PDF file.
