Continuing Medical Education
The American Psychiatric Association is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The APA designates this live activity for a maximum of 50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Ram Dass, Ph.D. (Richard Alpert), an American spiritual teacher, became a pivotal influence with the publication of “Be Here Now” in 1970. He has published numerous other books including“Polishing the Mirror: How to Live from Your Spiritual Heart” in 2013. George Koob, Ph.D., Director of the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA). As an authority on alcoholism, drug addiction and stress, he has contributed to our understanding of the effects of alcohol and drugs of abuse.  Among his many publications are the “Neurobiology of Addiction,” and a textbook on “Drugs, Addiction and the Brain.”
